J. Arbuckle's general research area is the sociology of agriculture and the environment. Recent research has examined how institutional dissonance among organizational actors that strive to shape rural landscapes can impact the effectiveness of their agri-environmental programming. Related areas of interest include the social and environmental dimensions of biofuels production.

|
Wynne Wright is Assistant Professor of Community, Food, and Agriculture at Michigan State University and an adjunct member of the Sociology Department. Her research interests focus on the contested nature of agrofood restructuring in global and local contexts. She is currently engaged in research exploring the social implications of the construction of an agrofuels commodity chain. She is an editor (with Gerad Middendorf) of the recently published The Fight Over Food: Producers, Consumers, and Activists Challenge the Global Food System (Penn State University Press, 2007).
